With a background in songwriting, PR and marketing, heavy music, and music journalism, I started Noise Gate as a way to tell the stories of the underground music scene that has been so good to me.

At Noise Gate, your work is in the hands of a fellow artist and music industry colleague. I earned a bachelor's degree in songwriting and a master's degree in cultural apologetics. I later went on to teach collegiate songwriting, music theory, artist development, and music publicity and promotion while also working as a PR Account Executive at a full-service agency. I've worked as a Creative Director and SEO strategist at a global leader in performance marketing, and as a Design and Content Strategist at a research and digital product design agency, diving deep into all things digital, communication, and creative storytelling.

Over the years, I've fronted a metalcore band, served as Editor in Chief of HM Magazine, represented a growing roster of songwriters, bands, and music-based organizations, and have received placements in local, national, and trade publications. With more than 10 years of experience in the music industry as a publicist and performer, I'm versed and immersed in the process of creating, distributing, and marketing an album from conception to completion.
